Haryana Pariwar Suraksha Nyas (HPSN) has been established by the Government of Haryana as a Trust under the provisions of the Indian Trust Act, 1862 to consolidate existing insurance schemes of various Government departments under one roof to avoid duplication of beneficiaries, effective implementation of schemes and saving additional cost to the state exchequer. Earlier the budgets for such insurance schemes were allocated to different departments. Various insurance schemes under urban local bodies, accidental insurance schemes, livestock insurance schemes, disability compensation schemes, insurance schemes for traders, and insurance schemes under Women and Child Development among others will be covered under this.
