National Institute for Smart Government (NISG) is a premier organization operating in the niche space of e-Governance in India. Engaged for over a decade in the task of nation building, it is today poised to be centre stage of the Government’s vision of rebooting India.
NISG is looking for an accomplished leader for the role of its Chief Executive Officer. This role will be responsible for providing strategic direction in the areas of business, customer process and people to the organization. He / She is accountable for delivering sustainable business outcomes, energizing the team, and influencing a complex web of external stakeholders to achieve the intended impact. This position reports to the Board. In order to garner larger participation, a Search cum Selection Committee would be selecting a suitable candidate.

The applicant must possess from a reputed Institute / University,
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
A Master’s Degree in Engineering
A Master’s Degree in any Discipline of Science
At least 25 years of work experience with a minimum of 5 years at a senior leadership position in the Management / IT Consulting / e-Governance space
Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Management from a reputed University / Institute
Experience of business development / Project execution in IT / Management Consulting / e-Governance space
Understanding the project life cycle is definitely an advantage.
Upper Age limit: 62 years as on 31st December, 2018
Note: To meet the requirements of the CEO role, the applicant would need to abundantly demonstrate the competencies in relation to business orientation, strategic thinking, executive maturity, entrepreneurial drive and execution excellence during his/her career.
The Position is open to:
Professionals from the PSU / Private Sector including retired officers meeting the criteria.
Officers from the Central / State Administrative Services: Officers at the level of Joint Secretary and above are eligible to apply for the position. Experience as State IT Secretary will be an added advantage.
The terms of Deputation shall be governed under the extant Government Guidelines. In the event of an Officer on deputation superannuating before the expiry of the tenure of 5 years, the terms will be settled at the initial stage of appointment.
The Search cum Selection Committee will shortlist candidates on the basis of Advertisement, also from Direct Referrals and other sources in order to allow larger participation.
Nature of Appointment:
The appointment is on contract initially for a period of Five years or till he / she attains 65 years whichever is earlier.
The position is based in Delhi and will require frequent travel.
Compensation will be in line with candidate’s profile and company policy. It may not be a constraint for the right candidate.
