Ministry of Mines – District Mineral Foundation (DMF)
Ministry of Mines is responsible for survey and exploration of all minerals, other than natural gases, petroleum and atomic minerals, for mining and metallurgy of non-ferrous metals like aluminium, copper, zinc, lead, gold, nickel, etc. and for administration of the Mines and Minerals (Regulation and Development) Act, 1957 in respect of all mines and minerals other than coal, natural gas and petroleum.
District Mineral Foundation (DMF) is a trust set up as a non-profit body , in those districts affected by the mining works, to work for the interest and benefit of persons and areas affected by mining related operations. It is funded through the contributions from miners.
PMKKKY stands for Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY) which is a program meant to provide the welfare of areas and people affected by mining related operations, using the funds generated by DMF.

Location: Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.
Contract period: 2 years (which would be extended depending upon performance and requirement).
